          I am an interdisciplinary artist exploring emotion and connection through ceramics, painting, photography, and mixed media. My photography business, See Your Beauty LLC, captures deep affection, focusing on technical precision and color dynamics to express love and shared feeling. In contrast, my painting is a release of distress, using color and impulsive gestures to convey empathy without words. Mixed media combines both positive and negative emotions, using found objects and linework to express beauty and self-growth. Ceramics is my escape, where I embrace unpredictability and abstraction, creating sculptures that break free from structure. My work revolves around abstraction, balance, and the lack of predictability, challenging viewers to question beauty, social constructs, and the nature of reality. I prefer my art to provoke thought rather than evoke simple enjoyment, as I believe life seen through rose-colored lenses is a life wasted.​​

                                     Biography

          Julianne is an emotion-driven artist with a strong business mindset. Her work, loved by galleries across South Dakota, has led to her greatest achievement—starting See Your Beauty LLC at 19 to challenge societal beauty standards. Profits supported her tuition and art supplies while studying at Black Hills State University. During her sophomore year, she began teaching at the Dahl Arts Center, earning recognition in the news and Black Hills Lifestyle Magazine. Despite her personal art practice and photography business, she considers teaching her top priority. Julianne’s passion for education was sparked after escaping New York during the pandemic, where she was deeply inspired by her new teachers' dedication to students. The culture shock she experienced fueled her motivation to make a lasting impact on others, and she’s now driven by the opportunity to positively influence many.
